safety

Our design department uses both C.A.D.-C.A.M.software and Finite Element Analysis software.

The finite analysis facility is used, in particular, to minimise stress in structures which incorporate welded joints. The aluminium airframe is manufactured from 6082 T6 aircraft alloy while the forks and rear undercarriage are manufactured from the extremely light ans strong 18MCDV6 - 25 CD4 alloy.

The seats are designed to provide maximum protection. The sandwich construction is reiforced around the edges and the two outer skins are linked together with an internal reinforcement.

Example: computer model used for finite analysis stress calulations

The aircraft has full certifiation to the German standard of + 6G - 3G at an all up weight of 405 kg.

Trike at an all up weight of 450 kg

Weight positive loading : 6 G
Negative loading : 3 G
Forward acceleration loading for the engine assembly : 15 G
Forward acceleration loading for the airframe : 9 G

These limits are impossible to reach during normal flight but include a large safety margin to prevent structural fatigue.
